Making Waves at the Ocean Swim

Community Bank South Coast was proud to support Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club for their Annual Ocean Swim held at beautiful Mollymook Beach in February.

As part of Mollymook Splash and Dash, the day brought swimmers together for a classic South Coast challenge with options for different ages and confidence levels.

This year we didn’t have anyone from our team jumping in for a swim… although we did have plenty of cheering happening from the sand. Last year Leah Spiers got the togs on and joined in. This year she was flat out working hard behind the Community Bank stand and spreading the message about the power of the community banking model.

Swimmers could choose from the 500m Junior and Novice Ocean Swim, the 2.2km Ocean Swim, then finish with the fast and fun 250m Dash for Cash. The Dash for Cash included $100 prizes for the first male and first female home while the 2.2km swim offered $500 prizes for the first male and first female overall plus age group awards.

Beyond the swims, the event atmosphere delivered a true community beach day with live music and food vendors plus a strong focus on safety supported by trained water safety officers and patrol craft.
