Here’s a great story
We’ve put +$1.6 million back into local community projects. That’s at last count and it’s always growing.
Over the last 20+ years, we’ve distributed over $1,600,000 to local organisations, causes and projects throughout the Shoalhaven area. We are extremely proud of this and the amazing stories that come about because of this support.
We love telling stories of the projects we’ve funded, how they’ve impacted and enriched our local area, and contributed towards a thriving community.

From strings to symphony
Music and community came together in an unforgettable way when the Milton Ulladulla Symphony Orchestra (MUSO) performed its first-ever concert as a full symphony orchestra . What started as a local string group has grown into a complete symphonic ensemble. This recent performance was a major step forward for the group and a celebration of the region’s talent and passion for live music. More than 250 people attended the concert. The response was warm, emotional and full of p

Practical learning that sticks
Financial skills matter. And when students take the lead in sharing them with their peers, the impact can be powerful. That’s exactly what happened at Ulladulla High School during their recent Financial Literacy Day . Organised by a small group of students with support from teacher (and Community Bank volunteer Director) Michael Ramsden, the event gave students a chance to engage with practical money management skills in a way that is real and relevant. Sessions covered bud

Young voices take the stage
Sometimes the most powerful change comes from a microphone and a little courage. Recently, we had the privilege of supporting a Slam Poetry event at Ulladulla High School , led by student Rachel Darvell as part of her Big Picture learning project. Rachel took on every part of the planning. She booked the venue, arranged for poet Andrew Cox to run a creative workshop and set the stage for students to speak their truth. The result was a raw and emotional showcase of poetry t

Recognition for inclusive play
Our Community Engagement Manager (and Acting Branch Manager) Caroline Boland recently visited Noah’s Inclusion Services and was honoured to receive a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Community Bank South Coast . The recognition was for our funding toward Noah’s Indigenous playground project. A space designed to be inclusive, welcoming and culturally meaningful. We often say we’re making change one project at a time. And this one truly mattered. Creating safe and incl

Community Expo Showcases Impact
The Community Connect Southern Shoalhaven Community Expo wrapped up with strong engagement, great conversations and a powerful reminder of just how far the community banking model reaches. With over $1.6 million of local profit already returned to the region, the Expo highlighted only a fraction of the groups that have benefited from our support over the years. Across the day, our team met with organisations doing important work and two groups were selected to each receive $5

Spirit Shines at Ulladulla Public School Colour Run
When Ulladulla Public School hosted its Fun Run Colour Run, Community Bank South Coast was delighted to be there supporting the event. But this year brought an extra special moment when two of our team members, Leah and Chloe, attended not in an official capacity but as volunteers giving up their own time. Their support on the day cheering students on, helping with activities and adding to the colourful fun reflected the genuine community spirit that sits at the heart of our

Bus Brings Lifesaving Support
Ulladulla recently welcomed the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation’s mobile Skin Check Bus, offering free professional skin checks to local residents. Community Bank South Coast proudly supported the visit, ensuring community members could access early detection services close to home. The turnout reflected strong community awareness about skin health and the importance of catching issues early. We extend our thanks to the Foundation’s clinical team and to our neighbouring Com

All In For Charity Golf Day
The Cancer Support Foundation Milton Ulladulla Charity Golf Day brought together community spirit and sunshine, and we were right there on the green. Represented by Community Engagement Manager Caroline and Board Chair Mike Devlin, the team enjoyed a fantastic day supporting an event that raises vital funds for locals impacted by cancer. The Foundation delivered a well‑run and meaningful day, and we extend our thanks to the organisers, volunteers and every golfer who contribu
