Supporting a climate-savvy greenhouse upgrade

As part of our ongoing commitment to local sustainability and innovation, Community Bank South Coast was pleased to support Milton Rural Landcare through the Emerald Ball initiative.

The original plan was to help fund a brand-new greenhouse, but as timelines and costs shifted, the team adapted, choosing instead to refurbish their existing structure with high-impact upgrades.

Our funding helped install:

• An automatic sprinkler system

• Temperature-sensitive louvre windows

• Insulation designed to deflect heat

  
  

The result? A climate-smart, efficient space that has already improved the success and health of propagated plants.

“With rising costs and a tight deadline, Milton Rural Landcare adapted, upgrading their existing greenhouse with smart tech like auto-sprinklers and temperature-sensitive windows,” said Caroline Boland our Community Engagement Manager.

This refurbished greenhouse is now a thriving hub for plant growth, volunteer engagement, and local environmental care. And it's exactly the kind of initiative we love to support.
